Silhouet-Tone
In 1961 Alphonse Ghedin founded
the first esthetics school in Canada.
By 1965 Mr. Ghedin decided to manufacture
esthetic equipment and incorporated Silhouet-Tone in
1971. A subsidiary company was founded in the United
States in 1980, followed by the establishment, in 1985,
of yet another subsidiary company in France.
In 1985 he pioneered the use of
the micro-chip in the esthetics industry, followed in
1994 by the development of specialized equipment: the
Lympha Tone and the Combo Q.
In 1995 we opened our office in
Geneva, Switzerland to serve the needs of the European
market and provide a regional headquarters for assembly
work. Silhouet-Tone moved to the new headquarters in
Laval, Quebec, in 1998.
Silhouet-Tone now serves esthetic needs in more
than 48 countries around the world. The work force has
grown to more than 150. Six engineers work full time on
product development. Our investment in research and
development has grown from .5% of total sales in 1990 to
5.5% in the current year.
We are committed to bring you the
very finest in the world of esthetics by the
introduction of new products, and the constant
refinement of existing lines. Silhouet-Tone has become
the standard for quality in the esthetics industry. We
take that role
seriously.
